Re: For you newish Uni people

If we're talking about hard working people subsidising lazy arses who don't work, what about the huge council/chav population of the UK?

Compared to students, who do you think takes more money off the tax-payer each year?

Thats EXACTLY why i am glad you have to struggle with an attitude like that...........besides having NOTHING to do with the argument!
Being a student, surely your arent that stupid to believe that everyone on a council estate is a lazy arse? Besides...you arent subsidising them are you so surely you fall into the category aswell.

    What else do you suggest?
    Throw out immigrants?
    Close the NHS?
Put income tax up by 70%
All these things take money from one place and then it goes to another. Thats just not a worthwhile argument.

You automatically think that the 'council population' as you say it is lazy. Have you ever considered that they may just be low paid? Most probably actually work far harder than you and cetainly deserve a break far more.

On the ther side of the coin, you have the priviledge few such as yourself. I am not assuming...it obvious from you blinkered statement above this is where you fall.

Fact remains...you want to play musical instruments and would like hard working people to pay for that. Many of which would be from your so called 'Council Populations'.

I REALLY do hope that one day you realise what its like to struggle and then you may see what some less well off people have to go through to make ends meet.

We are going round and round in circles here and the debate is getting boring.

You want free cash to pursue a 'possible' career in music.
I dont want to pay for your tuition, beer, computer, basic free-loading.
    'Status Quo is reached.
    Thats the crux of it.

If you want any kind of credibility for your begging/scrounging campaign then at least think your argument through.

The only bit i agree on is about the Chavs.............we can compomise.........you can halve your heating bill by putting them on your fire in winter. Those shell bottoms burn like hell i wouldve thought and it will save you a fat load of cash in the winter.

(Btw...if you need the cash....why not try busking? I thought you were learning music)

Uh... Isn't his arguement that students should get more so that Everyone has the oppertunity to go to uni, even those from Council Estate backgrounds?

I think you've just seen the word "Council" and seen red... Narrow that down by the "lazy arses who don't work" and you'll have the group of people he's talking about. He's not saying all people in council houses, but those who are in there because they can't be bothered to work.

Not another person with problems with Dr Kawashima's Brain Training

I get the minimum loan for uni, I work part time to afford living expenses, tuition fees etc

I wouldn't mind a bit more of a loan/grant but would have to pay off the former anyway

All in all I'm not too bothered

I havent seen red because of the word 'council'.
I have seen red because if you he has lumped those people that live on these estates into one pot by calling them lazy.

This argument could go on forever. We all have our different opinions which makes it interesting tbh.

Rather than defining a "pot" of Council-house people and labelling them all "Lazy Arses" it's more of a two-way narrowing to a group of people, like cross-referencing to read a map. Giving you a "pot" of people who live in council houses and ARE "Lazy Arses" but not those who aren't.

Plenty of hard-working people live in council-houses, but they justify the expense of the house by their hard work. It's the one's who don't work and get housing benefits he's complaining about.

It's not an arguement but a clarification.
