    Re: School reunion

I went to a 20 year reunion. I was also bullied at school. As oppose to being a large lad I was the tall and skinny type. Since I left school I have put on weight and muscle!
One of the best things I enjoyed about the reunion was stood at the end of the bar were 6 of the bullies. All still together. So I went up to them to say "hello" They had no idea who I was until I reminded them.

    A great "picture moment".

As already said I doubt any of them would bother you now. Go or you may regret it.

    And back on topic.
I was continuously bullied at school for being who I am. I didn't follow the crowd, I knew too much. It makes me, me and I'm glad I stuck by it.

Good luck anyway and let us know how you get on.
Just like me then, I was always a bit "different" at school... raised by rather liberal hippy parents who actively encouraged my individuality. I liked different music to everyone else, wore different clothes etc etc... Was a skinny thing to, used to get bullied for that as well...
I also have a problem with authority, I used to ask why I had to to things all the time because my mother had always tried to answer those "but why?" questions I asked when I was a little.

Its been 11 years since I left school (27 this year), I see people around that used to pick on me at school and most of them are in dead end jobs, some have even gone to prison! I know I shouldn't really but I laugh sometimes and gloat to myself because I'm doing so much better than they are.

shouldnt you be gone again until next year?

just want to echo what everyone here says & good on you for planning on going, i like your style. what people say is true, the bullies have often got a more complex agenda than meets the eye - heard throught the grapevine of a guy that used to be a pain at school, & friend of mine met him on a bus & he said i bet you really hate me... a lot do feel bad later i'm sure....

    Re: School reunion

What I cant wait for at my School Reunion in like 10 years is going up to all the "Cool clique" and asking them "What do you do?" and listening to them tell me how they're working a minimum wage job and still live with their parents. Not that that's a bad thing, just not something I want to be doing when i'm 28

    Re: School reunion

Speaking from a former-part-time-bully perspective, we just do it for fun most of the time... school is a boring place and without taking the piss out of someone its even more boring... So I wouldn't worry about it - unless they are complete meatheads; then takes some boxing/martial art lessons

    Re: School reunion

Well mate, touching though this story is, if you are fat because you are stuffing bacon, cheese burgers and coke down your gob, then maybe, and I realise this is a little crazy, but maybe... stop stuffing bacon, cheese burgers and coke down your gob?

    Might just work.

No, seriously, stop eating like that. Or you'll catch dead.

    Re: School reunion

I plan on stopping the cheese burgers lol it's just a case of I work really silly and unbalanced shifts and well, it's a case of eating the wrong stuff because it's easier, a habbit I intend to get out of.

Don't worry about the thread hijack, it was all in the name of good fun

    Re: School reunion

Yeah, but I had a habbit I needed to get out of, SMOKING CIGAFAGS! And that wasn't easy to stop, but I didn't want to catch dead, or have to keep buying them.

    So I stopped.

Also, why is it eaiser to shove something unhealthy down your throat than something healthy? Its not eaiser, you are kidding yourself. You prefer to do it, because bacon is nice. Coke is nice. Burgers are nice.

Stop lieing to yourself and eat carrots.
