at the moment as soon as you goto a subsection (ie England) it goes back the old look.

what do people think about the new look? I think its got a lot of wasted white space, i'm not so keen

Think it looks carp. There's a comparative lack of clear distinction between sections, as you say there's too much wasted space, all in all it's much less clear.

I think I prefer it, the old site I found was far too crammed (as in not enough white space). I like having a lot of information being displayed at the same time, but the BBC site wasn't great fun scanning lines and lines of tanked up info.

Having said that, it's not that much better, the rules of alignment have gone and, as nichomach's put it, lacks distinction between sections.

Not sure about the white space, like it kinda, but it looks a lot less, well, informed than before. Can't believe it's not been rolled out across the whole site though. Somebody needs shooting for that.

First impression is I prefer it.

Same content in a larger area, less crowded and a bit easier to read.

hmm, not so sure about it yet, especially the sport front page, everything used to fit on my screen and now it doesnt. However, every time BBC have changed their layout ive been unsure about it to start with but in the end it's been fine!

They've removed the link to the weather page which is a pain !.

Its far better now, with the customisation and the drag and drop sections.

Spend a few minutes getting it all set up just so, and it works well.

Looks okay to me. The white space is an improvement. It's less cluttered and 'busy', and as a result, clearer. But it's no better than "okay". It's hardly inspired.

It's funny though, went back to have a look this afternoon, and took ages to load. Surely not just 'cause America's coming online, but also 'cause of all the people who want to see the new design. BBC site is bound to be one of those 'definitive' site designs that people are always referencing. Ironic that the distributor of the news, is the news.

I like it. More space makes it easier to read and look at, not the other way round. Before there was just too much information to just glance through it.

i prefer it. nice and clean. however, there is a stupid black bar at the top of the page now.
