I don't miss dial up and I don't miss records either. It is much nicer to download so fast and at about the same prices I used to pay for a really slow connection!

When I got my 512/256 installation (one of the first in my area and an engineer install was the only option)

Ditto We were actually on the trials for ADSL so we had it at home before most people and when friends came round they cried when they saw my ping of 30-50.

Now, this was all before ADSL routers we're the norm so I had to use the lovely "internet sharing" on this with the bloody horrible ADSL modem BT supplied.

Hell - I even wrote to PC Plus about how it's going to change the way Britian uses the Internet and got a nice lovely CRT from them that I still to this day use on a daily basis.

Good point well made I feel, however he is wrong about chopper bikes as they were ace.

Ok I'll give Choppers a pass, but the point stands, the past was crap, and harking back to it as the good old days, is wrong. It was exactly the same as today, without all the good stuff being invented yet.

No internet, no good tv, and plastic trainers.
