Remember Dial-up?

Anyone remember the noise on dial-up? Strangely, I miss it.

I remember when broadband first came out in the masses and everyone was awed by the 512k speeds, now if you had 512k, you'd be on the phone to your ISP complaining .

I'm trying to forget it thanks, althoguh I'm surprised by the number of people at work who still ask for dial up modems in modern PC's, they get very irate when they find out that new PC's and laptops don't come supplied with dial up modems anymore.

yeh, dial up was ace mainly cos one of my friends got owned on it
