    Re: Shaving

no-one else go for the 'tramp unloved look' then.. 10cm long head hair and 1cm scraggly beard most of the time.. it grows quite quick on me, I have given up trying to keep it short..

unless its a wednesday morning where I then use a phillips 7 series rotary.. job done in 8 minutes.. and baby bum smooth... for those hairs the shaver misses i don't use some namby pamby tweezers, some old needle nose pliers do the trick, one quick yank and they soon come out, sometimes 2 or 3 at a time... RAAARGH!!

I used to get that when I was younger, right in my Philtrum. Doesn't happen now.

For the record, I always shave in the shower, using a Tesco 3-blade manual razor. Is good.

    Re: Shaving

I have facial hair like a wires, have had since I was about 12. I can blunt a razor in a single sitting if i've left it a few days, shaving right after shower works well though, especially if you like a boiling hot one in the morning like me.

Electric razors leave me looking like a tomato from the eyebrows down, something nice and sharp is your best bet, but I'd stay away from cutthroats until you have your technique down a bit, or dont; chicks dig scars

Leaving the foam on for a few mins helps too, personally I brush my teeth after putting the foam on then shave, but maybe that's just me.

    Re: Shaving

You will never get a close shave with an electric razor no matter HOW good they say it is on the ads. I have a Braun 360 Complete (the one which washes itself) and its good for a quick get out of home card, but I can feel my bristles growing back after a few hours. Plus my skin doesn't always like it and comes up red sometimes.

I use the Gillette Fusion Power, yeah its costly, but its one darn good razor.

    Spot on

Also my main recommendations would be.

    1. Use gel not foam, it gets into your beard much much better.
    2. If you have time do it in to phases. Apply gel and shave with "the grain", rinse, apply and shave against "the grain". You minimise irritation that way and its a better shave because you can see where you've been and where you've not in both directions so you don't end up with patches you've missed.

Also; don't use shaving oil its crap and use moisturiser... something else I use, just randomly, is "bio oil" seems to be really good to apply right after shaving rather than aftershave.

I'm not that bad (but thank god for trousers and tights)!

Exfoliation is the name of the game, for you mins* also, lifts the hairs so you can epilate/shave them easier.

    You actually shave your sack?

I've been hinted before that i should, its just not only is it kind of gay in a been in the german army way, I'm also a coward, and cutting myself there...... Ouch. i've currently got a nice big mark behind my ear where i cut myself shaving)
