i like how the guy recommending the most deadly shaving blade just told how he cut himself sneezing... yes that wont put me off lol
yes, which i did with a safety razor.
i've used cut throats before now, normally when my skin starts playing up, and i'm still alive.
Plus i don't have any scars.

Heh, I feel a bit weird tbh, everybody on here takes such care...
I should shave everyday but I am lazy and so I usually only shave like twice a week so most of the time I am very stubbly. All I do is, jump in the shower with a can of gillete gel, get out my wilkinson sword quattro jobbie and do it in there. Don't use a mirror, just whip the face hair right off, check mirror when I get out and remove any missed bits (without shaving foam, as said previously... lazy). Job done. Maybe my skin is as tough as kevlar but I have never needed any of this nabmby panby 'sensitive for men' crap.
Really don't recommend leccy shavers though, used one about 10 years ago and it was crap, felt like I hadn't had a shave at all.
HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY
I could swear there was an old thread on here (perhaps 2006 or early 2007) linking to a great dugg article on shaving, with all sorts of tips and suggestions, but I can't find it.
It got me off the gel and I started using a decent pot of shaving cream and badger brush.
I'm not man enough to go with a cut throat though. I'm still on a Mach3 to be honest...
I used to hate shaving as it would irritate my face, make me late for work everyday ...
I can only wet shave once a week, anymore will just irritate me.
I find hot water and plenty of it is best, shaving foams/gels did nothing other than prevent me using hot water like I should
clean blades with a toothpick often becuase I find running under tap wont wash out the hair dust..
wouldnt mind trying a straight razor though, expect it would be far easyer to get a smooth face.
Electric is nice but its not as close... just dont touch your face after and you'd never know. Getting a bit pissed off since I miss the short blond hairs around my mouth a lot.. see below...
I have a habit of plucking any face hairs I miss with my fingernails when I get bored. tweasers suck at this, pliars are good for getting 5+ at a time doesnt hurt, feels quite nice actually..
I did once pluck the whole of my right cheek, along my jarbone and 1/4 of my neck hairs like this. Felt great afterwards and took a good few weeks to start growing back, only it took maybe 10 hours worth of being bored/plucing hairs from face to do. I was trying to see if I could do my whole face 1 hour a day, before it started growing back.., but I gave up quite soon after..
If there was some kind of device for plucking ones face quickely I would probably use it.
The only bad thing is the small blond hairs (rather than the thick black hairs) are far better fixed into my face and so hurt 10x more when pulled out... almost similar to nose hairs, which luckly I dont have any problems with....
I've never liked electric ones. I've been shaving since I was sitting my GCSE's (10 years ago - God I feel old writing that!) and I've only used the electric single-digit times. It always felt like it was leaving the last 1 or 2mm of stubble, which is kind of against the point.
My beard grows quickly; if I shave in the morning before work, it'll be back by the time I get home! Even though, I only really shave twice a week; I'm just too lazy to do it more often, plus I find I get a closer shave if I leave it for a bit each time rather than shave every day.
I'm using M3 Power with Nivea sensitive - if your skin is red after wet shaving or is really itchy, try using it. Doesn't make you any less of a man!
I've also used it to shave my sack - I have a specific blade for this area! Nothing to it really, just make sure they're nice and soft after the shower and put plenty of gel on them, and most importantly of all... TAKE YOUR TIME!
I think the main point to get across is to just find your own preference. Everyone on here will be different in some way, so find what feels best for you and keep to it. If you have a wife, g/f or whatever, ask them for tips - they shave a lot more often than men, a lot more places too!
I'm far too lazy when it comes to shaving.
I used to be able to get away with only shaving 2-3 times a week and still looking 'reasonably' respectable.
Now its a whole different kettle of fish. If I stay on top of it, I can usually get away with every 2 days.
I usually use my electric razor to get rid of the bulk of it, then will wet shave with what ever razor I can find. I still cant a close enough shave though.
Like Funk and a few others on here, I really do one day wanna experience a proper shave although there arent that many places if any round here that would do that.
there is a worrying ammount of men in hear talking of shaving sacks... not needed lol
