Truth or Happiness?

So, assuming I'm not aware of the fact the untruth is un true, the two options are, believe the truth that makes you unhappy or believe the truth that makes you happy.

I think I'd go with the happy one.

But merely believing in something doesn't make it true. If your spouse is cheating on you, simply believing that your spouse is faithful to you doesn't mean he or she actually is. Sometimes we have false beliefs.

Trueth equals knowledge. Believing in untruths is delusion, and delusion is a weakness. I'd rather be wise and unhappy than be a happy fool.

But if you believe it, you do think it's true. Regardless of whether your spouse is cheating on you, if you believe he/she isn't then as far as you are concerned, they're not. Obviously you could be wrong but it's still a case of chosing to be happy or unhappy about something.
