Im wanting a tattoo but dont know what.
Out of 10 how much does it hurt? Im scared, lol.
It all depends on where you have it done to be honest... and of course personal pain threshold comes into play aswell, although, it probably will hurt! (although women tend to not get hurt as much as men - not being sexist, its just how it is - as informed by a few tattooists).
as a gauge, i have 3 tattoos - one on the back of my leg - my first, and quite large, about as tall as a sheet of A4 and 1/3rd as wide
i have the word Rock - A4 sized across my lower back - my second tattoo
and i have the led zeppelin 4 symbols on my wrists (2 each side, just a bit bigger than £2 coin per symbol) - my latest tattoo's.
not knowing what i was in for and not eating right before i went for my first tattoo, i can honestly say it was one of the most unpleasant feelings i have known.... imagine a big jungle knife glowing red from being in embers (think blacksmith branding rod glowing) stuck into your skin and dragged around slowly (brutal eh?) this one hurt ALOT...and i almost passed out - luckily i stopped the tattooist before i fell over (i was standing up with my one leg resting on the chair for the tattooist to ink me... later i went on to quite like my ink and i decided after a year to brave the chair again... this time with the word rock even bigger than my first across my back.... settled in for a large amount of pain the tattooist began.... and to my surprise.... it hurt! haha, no, it didnt hurt quite as much... i knew what was coming, and thankfully it was alot less painful than i remembered, the worst 2 bits on my back were the spine, where it sent a shiver down my back and not painfully, just a bizzare feeling that feels like the needle is vibrating off the bone (it isnt by the way ) and then my sides, as im extremely ticklish, i felt the vibration of the needle getting close which made me want to laugh, followed by a short jab of pain...mixed feelings werent that much fun...
the shading on my back was even less painful than the outline as i was previously told (but seemed like that wasnt the case on my leg).
then finally after another 18 months, i popped out during a lunch hour from work to get my wrists done... and expecting even worse pains, as its on the wrists where you are forever fearfull of cutting due to the veins... it felt little more than a papercut, and i continued on with my working day after having it done...
so experience, and the part of your body comes down to the amount of pain...
also the amount of sugar in your blood... eat some haribo before/during the tattoo to keep blood sugar levels up... and of course (this is why i nearly feinted) breathe... remember to breathe... dont hold your breath as you will end up falling over... and as nice as it would be, your tattooist cant carry on whilst you are unconcious
all in all... tattoos are painful... but theres something satisfying about getting them done that far overwhelms the initial pain... which by the way dissapears the moent the needle is out of your skin....

Depends on where abouts the tattoo is going, I was close to nodding off during one on the top of my arm and in complete agony with the one that wraps around my lower shin.
As long as it's on a fleshy part of your body you should be fine, out of 10 I'd say it's around a 3. In my opinion it's more of a burning sensation, rather than a stabbing one.
Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean

Serious question... at what age do you grow out of wanting tattoos? I mean, at what age do you stop thinking: "cool - a tattoo!"?
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
You don't. You either want them, or you don't. Age has nothing to do with it does it?
that tatoo... well sigh i wouldnt have paid is all i got to say.
Tshirt, jeans and trainers, although I work in the same building with people who show up in full suits etc
Point is wrist/neck (and for that chest on women) ink is a little bit harder to hide than mine at the top of my arm with normal clothing, I can wear a fairly short sleeved tshirt and still cover it
lol well that is what I used to wear too.
It's just a sign that you are young and or unimportant.. like me
