Curse me for closing FF lastnight otherwise I would've had a cached image
Needless to say said 'tattoo' was at first glance undeniably done in biro. Burtie didn't say whether this was the actual tattoo he had done or if it was the mockup of a planned tattoo. If it was the latter, it would've turned out fairly well if done by an experienced artist. As someone who is blathered in tats myself I can say that I've seen some real dodgy mockups transformed into small works of art by a talented tattooist.
If it was, however, the former then the 'artist' in question should be strung up and never be let down till they promise not to scrawl on someones' body ever again.
I don't have a tattoo, but do want one. This sort of thing worries me though!
That's why you should never get a tat done "on the cheap" or from anyone whose work you haven't seen
Got a couple myself, been thinking about getting "another one" for the last 10 years, haven't been able to settle on exactly what I want.

You see I only go on personal reccomendations having seen some shockingly bad ones done by people who were expensive (and go by the persons name as opposed to just the place, for instance where I got mine done there was a guy that only did Genji (sp?) art and animals)
Plan to get another one done, my original one the colour is bleeding as planned so has a nice yellow>orange>red effect now like I planned for it to turn out, black is still fine too and the lines are still nice and crisp over a year on
Well tbh.. I was expecting it to be a lot worse from what people were saying. Needs a bit of work but it's not terrible imo.
I don't see it, but going to see a decent tattooist is probably a step forward.

Don't let it worry you. When your ready to start seriously looking at tattoo's look around your area to see what is available. If you have mates who have tattoo's then ask them for recommendations. Have a look in the mags. Number one priority is to do your research. Once you have found a good studio, go in and have a chat with them, ask to see some of their work. Just remember, you pay for what you get.
I see no reason why it can't be fixed. Yes its going to cost you, but at least you now have some experience of the studio who did that. You stear clear of them and find a better studio. I've had 4 tattoos done in the same studio, and have no qualms about recommending them. Its one reason why i will keep going back to them. In fact i've already started to plan for my 5 & 6th with them

Hmm... I've seen worse. MUCH worse. On people that think that they're the best thing since sliced bread.
I can see that it could be improved, but... I guess that's the risk you take when getting inked. I have no tats, but that's more to do with the fact that I just couldn't ever settle on a design for more than a couple of days.
