i was trying to build a trebuchet but couldn't get it to work.

but this has a lot of tension, check it out the whole contraption disappears. (you need to wait at least 5 revs)

Actually, I think this one shows the cause of the explosive physics. Watch the small ball. It's dragged along the ground and picks up a very rapid rotation, and it appears it's this which causes the explosion when it contacts a solid structure.

yup, every time the ball connects with something it either speeds it up or moves it.. it move the whole system when it hits the wooden arm when it has been spinning...

and then the ball picks up extreme spin and turns explosive..

heres one without the ball, so im not sure thats right. altough im not sure either, i think its because of the blue pipe on the top left section of the arm, making the center yellow ball build up tension.

the same holds true for the one JK linked. it is being spun in the same direction.... time to test me thinks...

    hmm... interesting...

what does it do without the blue pipe is the next question...

    edit: the answer?

    the same...

one arm is longer than the other causing a faster downward swing at one point, could this be carrying through?

the plot thickens, any ideas ?

obviously were dealing with a programming bug, not a law of physics. but maybe just maybe we could launch a flash based power station and cure global warming..

blue pipes on both sides and it turns into a flying machine... yay

and more blue pipes nothing at all ... ummmmm
