We don't have a TV in the bedroom, so we regularly use the laptop for films & tv stuff etc... I'm now getting fed up of having to prop my knees up to watch.
Anyone recommend a good solution/stand?
In an ideal world there'd be a monitor/lcd on the wall but in rented acommodation thats a no no.

Both look a bit more substantial than the ebay ones I'd been looking at...
no real support, can imagine the screws coming loose in time and the unit becoming useless!
When I went to Uni a few years ago, I got a dinner tray that had a beanbag thing on the bottom from Matalan. Found that useful for using laptops on as well.
I use a pillow, but it still rests on your legs
Will invest in a Breakfast in Bed tray with a view to modding it for some 'hot tilt action' possibly, at somepoint, if i can be bothered
breakfast tray is the cheapest option, the ebay link posted looks pretty good too. but some other ones (i seen some japanese ones) were very expensive.
I opted for the ebay one... Will let you know how it goes.
I initially hit buy on a £9.50 breakfast tray but thought sod it, and went for the pretty nice looking laptop unit.
I actually use a plastic tray that was about 99p to keep mine steady while watching stuff on the laptop

I got a Belkin CushTop ages ago, I can't remember where from, but it tilts it up nicely. Plus you can stick the power adapter inside it when you're not using it
Get stronger arms.. I just hold my laptop near vertical whilst I'm laying in bed
