Way to gain a customers trust

    http://www.niquitin.co.uk/

    More specifically

Talk about putting words in someones mouth lol

(Only found this as I'm looking at ways to quit smoking, gf is giving me a load of grief for it, so I smoke when she isn't around me/ drinking and go on the gum the rest of the time (which I can't do), I was also looking at http://www.nicobrevin.com/ and the Nicorette inhilator (the latter seems the most suitable for me), anyone got how they did it, used to smoke up to 20 a day (rollies) but now down to 3-5 'regular' cigarettes on my own)

Were you a smoker before you met your GF? If so you could suggest, politely, that she gets used to it?

I gave up for a year or so just by going cold turkey, but at that point I really wanted to do it. Now I don't particularly care about giving up, so I smoke when I want to and some days I don't, because I don't feel like it/don't need to.

If you're only on 3-5 a day anyway, no chemical substitute is going to help you. You get over nicotine addiction within 3-4 days anyway, and most smokers can manage that easily. The problem is that you're not 100% convinced you want to give up. Until you are, you won't manage it, because the mental cravings are far harder to beat than the physical ones.

    yeah, wimmin eh?!

I doubt it's as simple as that - he could be smoking a lot more now than when they first met (or the level has been fluctuating); or indeed they both were smokers; or she could have had a negative emotional experience through smoking (illness of a relative etc).

Either way I used to smoke (a lot), my then girlfriend gave me the support and encouragement (and on occasions a hard time) I needed to give up when we had our first baby. It was through love and concern for me she did it, and no other reason - that's what a relationship is.

She never smokes, she is really concerned about my health as I have been smoking for nearly 5 years now

Negative emotional experience.....I would be the one with that losing my gran to it a couple of years ago and my uncle some years before that (possibly linked to my uncle but they were not certain)

I don't feel as I am ready to quiot just yet as it is really my 'me' time where I get some time to myself more than anything

Can you find something else to do as a 'me' time?

On topic, that's hilarious. Can you imagine "Gordon Ramsey recommends using BrandX knives*"

    *not really.

Feeling ready to quit is the biggest part (apart from the actual quitting!) - I'd properly quit about 3 times (being free for at least a month), and my fourth (after my first child) was the one that stuck. You need a reason.

I just "did it". A health kick helps. Because you can feel yourself getting better day by day, you also sleep better.

My sister found success through Allen Car (although I didn't think a comedian would be such an inspiration) - she swears by it.

Hello, my advice is to try finding someone else to do for "me" time. for my "me" time i listen to music.
quitting smoking makes your girlfirend happy and improves your health so its a win win situation.

How much would it have hurt to get a genuine testimonial, then they wouldn't have to put that disclaimer on?

There's an ad on TV for mascara or some other eye make-up that says it can make your eyelashes appear thicker, which has got something similar saying "lash inserts used".

Personally I think that if you're going to advertise a product, you should advertise the product, not an unrealistic interpretation of it!
