Is there anywhere you can scroll through pdfs of actual pages of newspapers online (rather than an electronic version of an article)?
The particular page that has sparked this query was from the London Lite, but I'd like to know anyway...
Thanks

The only place I can think of is either the National Archives or the Newspaper itself.
But i doubt they would have this online available to everyone.
I was sure there would have been... gosh darn it.
libraries keep papers for their area so that would be worth a shot if I could be bothered - I'm surprised there's nothing though...
I'm pretty sure it will happen eventually, but it's just a matter of time and money.
Right now, I would assume that archiving newspapers to microfilm or microfiche is quicker and cheaper than digitising and putting them online, mainly because they already have the facilities in place to do this. The kind of investment in infrastructure required to put all this online would be immense.
It will happen, either through a government initiative, or through private sponsorship or donation (look at Google's book scanning program).
It's just like the BBC putting all their radio and TV archives online, it will happen... eventually
i though google was doing this with newspapers as well as books?

Chances are it's be the big titles first though,a dn probably starting with really old editions. No point in doing the brand new ones so by the time you get to the really ancient ones, they have deteriorated to the point where they are unreadable
