I reckon they should give stephen fry the slot for the next 12 weeks
It's not gonna be a great filler this week, too short notice. They just have to put somthing on to fill the space.
Next week they may have had more time to look at what fills the time. Probobly going to be films though.
+1 for Fry, he's very funny. Can he be trusted with the singers though?
They should replace it with hour long episodes of HIGNFY
We need a new Morcombe and Wise, or Tommy Cooper...
I hate the fact that humour has to be so 'trashy' for it to be funny now.
Yeah mate, thats what the young people want - back to the humour from 30 years ago.
You really thought about that post, didn't you?
They do keep repeating old comedy shows as people still watch them, belive it or not.
So he did think about his post and was right.
Ross was more topical humour though, so you'll just have to make do with Have i got news for you. They got a good 12 minutes before getting off the subject of Ross yesterday and it was very funny.
No, I said young people would not want to go back to the humour of 30 years ago, I didn't say anything about how often those programmes are repeated. Read my post.
Oh right... glad you've cleared that up for everyone. Are you a judge? So he did think about his post and was right.
I'll be sure to ask you the next time 2 people have 2 different opinions, as not only are you a judge (he was right), you can also read other peoples minds (he did think about his post)
How do you do that, mate?
Wasn't angry at all, just bemused at your strange wording.
'He was right' like its your place to tell other people who is right and wrong, in some sort of officially capacity.
Throw in a bit of speaking for someone else, like he's your best friend in the playground, and it was a strange post.
Anyway, back to the football... see ya
Anyway...It looks like the BBC in a bit of a kafuffle - BBC is told to starve its fat cats:
Looks like the fact that their salaries have been brought into the public eye has raised a few questions both from the public, and the government. Kind of funny how the people who run the country get paid less than someone presenting a TV show. By several million.Ross, who is on an £18m three-year contract, was last week suspended without pay for three months over obscene telephone calls made to Andrew Sachs, the Fawlty Towers actor, during a Radio 2 show. The row puts BBC chiefs in an awkward position. They are keen to hang on to Ross, but they cannot renegotiate his salary until his contract comes up for renewal next year.
Yep, the licence-funded inflated salary is the issue now. Mr Brand has legged it because he doesn't want anything messy jeopardising his movie career; I suspect the controller's quite swift resignation also protected a lucrative pay off that wouldn't accompany a sacking. This leaves moneybags Jonathan Ross with his fat salary. Seriously, nobody is that funny. Anyone else feel like paying a licence fee so that the Beeb can laugh at us?
