some form of leveller to ensure that optimum contact is kept between the chips and the sink? It looks like as the metal expands because its thinner than the old range that they will auto adjust as the metal expands...

Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net
So have I...
I should say that the sauce was not the model's own...
will you just tell me what's so good about these RAM sticks please?!
Hmmm i reckon they are mini speakers and they talk to you....
..or you can plug your Ipod and have an extra 6gb of fast music space
Spoiler alert:
Found a great image of these new modules on a german site
http://www.computerbase.de/bildstrecke/23224/3/
It clearly looks like Allen Key bolts at the top.
I'm thinking maybe Corsair will offer different cooling solutions for their memory products? Like addons/upgrades.
Also maybe something to do with Motherboard manufacturers or Intel and a guideline set perhaps?
Tried using babelfish on the site but it was a little messy i noticed the word NDA though.
assume its for a wc loop to be fitted for those of us that have rads to get rid of the heat.
ok.... more guesses...
1. There are (as said earlier) optional accessories that can be installed such as water and air cooling. All cooling products are screwed directly on for maximum heat transfer. They are also adjustable with small sliders in the coolers to allow for different ram spacing on different motherboards. Removing the top heatsink that relies on passive air flow (convection) allows better conductive heat transfer to the attached fan/water cooler. Convection then occurs later on more efficiently as it is active rather than passive - resulting in better clocks, lower temps and higher stability.
2. Perhaps electricity can be conducted through the screw threads to power the optional fan accessory? (prob an awful idea for overclocking as it draws extra power and adds noise)
3. If not power - perhaps data is transferred to the fans by some pins like heat and speed, allowing the user to see the temp/speed of their ram in an led screen mounted on the fan?
4. er... um.... no idea lol ...to keep your designers employed?
Edit:
One thing im a little confused about tho - the pic of the optional air cooler looks like it's made for two modules not three as there are a total of 4 screws (2 for each module). Perhaps there is a new cooler coming out that is made for 3 ram modules and can screw onto each one.

so what is it then?
the thread just seems to have died
don't know.

Connectivity for overclocking by hand instead of from BIOS?
I'm guessing that you can remove the top set of fins to connect a nice big heatsink/fan that covers all 4 slots.
