Cannon Fodder was addictive! Did anyone else play Lost Vikings?

Yup. And on that note, I am reminded of Rock n Roll racing (both Blizzard oldies, and features one of the Viking as a secret character).

And since I played the Lost Viking's on my school's 386, I am also reminded of a couple of other games on those PCs. Dune 1 (which reminds me of Dune 2 by title association), Stunts (old driving game that came with a track editor - which I really liked playing with), uh, and Lemmings (which I can't say that I liked that much, but it is somewhat of a classic). Oh yeah, there was also a puzzle game (can't remember the name!) where you play some kind of Pac man looking character (round thing), and had to collect stuff. You could could/had to eat green stuff on the path to progress, but in doing so you may free monsters. The monsters in the game were scissors, and you could kill them by dropping stones on them (those can also kill you).

+1 I loved that game. In a way it's what Trackmania's spawned from.

well I sure you couldn't. it just played the same piece of video no matter how you built your roller coaster.

wouldn't be the first time I was wrong though

I remember it as once you had built your ride, you couldnt actually ride your specific ride, but instead you got a default video of the type of ride you had built.

But it is true that RTS's on consoles are more than a bit crap.

Yeah I may have a 360 (and a PS3), but there for driving games, sports titles, co-op games and obviously 360/PS3 exclusive titles!

RTS' are a M/KB only job!

If it was on a kb/m, I'd have had so much more difficulty with it :/ I still don't get how people can press about 15 keys at once, especially the further away ones

Its ALOT easier to scroll across an entire map with a mouse, and the use of the arrow keys, also how can you play an RTS without macro'ing groups of units to number keys?!

Well I wished I hadn't spent 10 mins browsing after my lunch..... came across this thread and it has reminded me of quite a few old classics that I used to play as well

I can't remember the link (and I can't access the forum at work) but if anyone is interested I will post a link to another forum tonight which has quite a few old classics and remakes

Couple of games I have come across that have been mentioned here include the likes of Jet Set Willy, Manic Miner, Bruce Lee, Pitfall.... to name but a few
