I havn't had it in a while - I'm tempted to make some tonight, but I had a plate load of chips and pizza last night

I find it's a combination that works, if you keep the chips out of the gravy, and dip them in it just before eating. Then you get the benefit of the taste, without the sogginess. But soggy chips? I agree, not for me.

I love cheese anyway, cheese works with most things, even chocolate and oddly enough Christmas cake
I'll admit also, Chips and Gravy is the healthier option, and quite nice tbh.

no no no guys - I meant chips, cheese AND gravy... perfect drunkards food - the gravy melts the cheese, which holds the chips on the silly polystyrene tray
Nice... but not as nice as chips and gravy with loads of vinegar. And yes it makes the chips go soggy but that's why you're supposed to eat them straight away.
Edit: Grumble grumble... Southerners... grumble grumble... Can't get decent mushy peas down here either...
