Stop the flaming, all it'll do is get the thread locked down, and warnings issued. I'm all for letting opinions be voiced, but this bickering is doing nothing.

I'm surprised at the way some people have reacted to this thread. Hexus is supposed to be a good community, yet people are rapidly dividing into two very separate groups. While I refuse to side with either, my earlier comments seem to have been taken as a anti-Jade stance - let me just point out that I dislike it when any so-called celebrity gets reported on in this way, whether they wanted it or not.

I think it is in the interests of people to just LEAVE IT. I find myself looking at Hexus less and less, because the topics are either starting to bore me, or the endless crap put into threads bores me, like it is in this one.

I didn't want Jade Goody to die, I just didn't want her to live and for me keep hearing about it.

I had an argument a few weeks ago with a couple of girls. One of em came out with some BS about how Jade has worked hard :-\ and it wasn't even that much of a bad thing when she called someone paki, as "we all have done it" at one point or another. Then I was thinking, well, does that blaady make it alright? The hard work bit really made me LOL though.

Just made me realise how many people out there are just stupid ignorant, and how just like someone mentioned on this thread before, they share a bond.

Regardless of whether she was loved or hated and that she got publicity or whatnot. I don't think people should be speaking so ill of the dead imo pretty much disrespectful. However there are exceptions to be made for certain individuals (like Hitler etc) but Jade Goody? Common no comparison. Wasn't exactly the most popular person in many peoples books (mine included) but I think the bashing and the sympathy is in equality of jumping on a band wagon on both sides.

Why is it bad to speak ill of the dead? I suppose it is distrespectful but then again that selfish nasty bint deserves no respect. She did nothing that wasn't selfish. Even when she was dying from cancer and would have no use for the money after she dies, she chose to do the most selfish thing she could. Give every penny to the last bit of her that survives - her kids. How about donating some of it to cancer related charities?

And I have to agree with Jay. Just becaise she was suffering doesn't suddenly make her a better person. It mekes her a nasty waste of oxygen that's suffering.
