    I tend to group mine by type eg
    3 letter name for client code + code for server type then a number

    eg. ABCWEB01 , ABCDC01 , ABCMAIL01 , ABCFILE01 etc.

    My main server is an HP Netsever, so it got christened Harry Potter. Well that led to the clients being Ron, Hermione Myrtle and Hagrid.
    Very sad, esp. considering we don't have any kids!

    Drugs? Cocaine, Herion, Marajuana, Speed, Ecstacy etc? You could name them by there pace too, ie Speed would surely be the fastest and Marajuana would surely be the slowest

    Popular one's I know of are famous footballers (Pele, etc) ("Best" is the one that keeps falling over ), characters or creatures from Lord of the Rings and also Scottish islands. A few friends use female celebrity names.
