Have you tried Fruli, strawberry beer. Very strange, definitely couldn't drink more than 1/2 a pint.

Much as I love Guinness I think it might well be the drink that is the most reliant on quality of the pub and bar staff. I wub it, don't get me wrong but I was in a Wetherspoons the other day and I chanced my arm on a pint of the black stuff. It was.... vile.but thats if you dislike it from the outset - i would gladly drink 7 pints and feel like i had accomplished a great feat
Since discovering Brigantes in York and the interesting ales they sell I'm a lover of Konig Ludwig, Erdinger not being too far behind.
Both have a very pleasant effect on me. Quak in particular being lethal based on (hazy) memory.
In a pub Guiness pulled in a pint glass. For some reason I always find Stella tastes vile when pulled in pint. But I find it nice when bottled. No idea why?
Newcastle Brown in those big fat bottles are nice aswell.
