Congrats dude.
Now the missus and baby will want you to play waitor.
Thanks again guys;
Yeh, she is being breast fed. There is no argument at all not to, got a few cartons of bought milk for emergencies but all in all we're sticking to the au natural as best we can. We've got a breast pump, not needed it just yet but we are planning on starting soon, esp for night time feeds.
Can see it being a long few months though, took 3 hours last night to clam her down which was less then amusing. Mixture of changing nappies, burping and a big feed ended with her mum taking her downstairs so i could rest (i take first shift, she takes the second). But oh well, gotta take the good with the bad!
Lee, sounds good to me! How far off are you? Be prepared for a manic 24 hours, it wont be pretty but its worth it in the end. I ended up in tears im unashamed to say! Take magazines for your gf/wife, along with ipod/hand held games and plenty of snacks etc as it can be a very long wait for discharge, and it can be a less then relaxing atmosphere at times (''we'll check on you again in 4-6 hours...'' etc). Our little one came in at 7lbs1.
Moby, how old is your little one? Your first?

maybe longer, maybe less. My first took just over 36 hours to make an appearance, friend over the road was in hospital for less than 4 hours, and was under 6 hours from first contraction to baby.Be prepared for a manic 24 hours
We were lucky, I think, none of ours have routinely taken long to get settled. (Or I've forgotton!) I do have memories of spending most of the night up with my wife with our first trying to get him to settle. Can't remember if he was teething or ill now. That wasn't fun. By the time the last one had arrived though we had got the shift sleeping thing sussed.took 3 hours last night to clam her down which was less then amusing
