    Torchwood - Children of Earth

So who else is absolutely hooked?

I think I've worked out who the 456 are, the jigsaw pieces fit and it also fits the style of R.Davies, although he only wrote ep1 and 5 of this five parter apparently.

Was very surprised to not find a discussion on it over here, so mods please excuse me if there is one hidden away, and I thought the TPR forums were large with plenty of categories.

Re: Torchwood - Children of Earth

iPlayer has been a saviour this week for sure It's always the same when close to the end of term, playing dad-taxi for the kids every night so far this week and struggled to get back in time. It has me hooked enough to not want to iplayer it now and re-arrange things so I can watch it straight away!

Re: Torchwood - Children of Earth

If anyone misses it on BBC1 at 9pm it's always repeated on BBC3 about 12 am.

I'm just a bit miffed that they've cut the series down from 13 episodes to a measly 5 and spanning it across the week. What am I going to do for a sci-fi fix once it finishes apart from watch Stargate SG-1 from the beginning again.

I'm glad it's like this, intense and far FAR better than previous Torchwood dross.

I honestly thought that Jack Harkness had just found out how he was to become the Face of Beau when that stomach bomb went off... I could just imagine a single flesy flappy sheet of skin being left.

    Watched them all

Ben Browder and Claudia Black are also in SG-1 later on so it confuses the girlfriends younger son when I flick between the two shows.

I may rewatch Eureka or firefly as I've found that I'm awake now till about 3am most nights feeding Hayden, changing nappies and whatnot so need something to fill the void on TV.

[EDIT] I best stop drooling over Gwen as well as the Girlfriend watches it with us as well lol

    Excellent idea ...

Torchwood CofE has been excellent so far, genuinely thrilling; recording it in HD is MURDERING the disk space on the V+, though!

I think they gave away who it is the other night with the use of the word "ambassadorial" ...

I'll not post who though as it might spoil it for a lot of people out there.

Yes revealing spoilers would indeed get you lynched, though die hard Doctor Who fans might recognise the atmosphere composition.

I would consider myself a fairly hardcore Doctor Who fan but only since RTD relaunched it a few years ago. I can't think of any creature they've come across which was in a poisonous atmosphere... Could you give me just a small clue - are you referring to old school Doctor Who or the more recent series starting with Christopher Eccleston?

EDIT: Oh, and I think the current Torchwood series is absolutely riveting and can't wait until this evening!
