Nothing survives a recession like fear, just as the pharmaceutical companies...
There’s a world wide money issue and bang, we get a nice virus that’s being blown out of proportion by the media and the pharmaceutical companies find a nice way to get some quick cash in the bank..

I'd blame the media for this one! I think you overestimate the brains in pharmaceutical companies! Mine is full of idiots who don't have a clue. We have developed the first vaccine though. However we do the same for every flu that comes along.

Actually that's fairly common for a number of childhood diseases; mumps measles, rubella, chicken pox. Mostly where the diseases are significantly less serious to children than to adults so that they can build up an immunity early on.

I'm not sure I'd want to know, sure swine flu is supposed to be worse than the normal flu that goes round but the way the media has played it up having letters go round just seems to propogate the FUD.

    That's just it, it isn't

Swine Flu is reputedly less of a concern than the more common strains that kill thousands of people every year, in this country alone.

Of course its no laughing matter, as anyone who has actually had Flu (not this bad cold/ 'touch of Flu' BS) will tell you.

Re: I got a letter from my daughter's school today...

Bah, its all media hype my grandmother told me that back in the day she worked 26 hours in a day, all whilst having flu, polio, smallpox and two broken legs and she didn't complain

To be honest the media have grabbed onto it's little scare story and are blowing it out of proportion, the lethality of normal influenza is actualy much higher than the swine flu.
Most deaths from both come from the virus weakening the immune system and allowing other conditions to thrive, if you have an existing medical condition and get any type of flu (bird, swine, normal) then see your doctor asap, if you are a normaly healthy person a few days of bed rest and you should be fine.

that was already happening back in June (Austrian Journalist sacked for speaking out and taking FBI/WHO to court).....
    http://www.naturalnews.com/026503_pa...terrorism.html

You can hear telephone interviews made on youtube as well.

You can dismiss conspiracy but you only have to take a informed look at factual history to see how rushed flu vacines have gone down in the past....

1976 - 1 US Army Recruit dies from suspected Swine Flu and the authorities rush out a vaccine which results in killing loads of people, and leads to serious side effects including paralysis in hundreds more

2008 - Polish medical team conducts test inoculations on 350 people for the H5N1 bird-flu virus and 21 of those people die and many more now complain of health issues.

So still totally happy about taking the vaccine now?
