    Leaving the toilet seat up

    [Rantmode]

Why is it that so many women are really anal (pun definitely intended), about this? I mean, if they don't notice it's up when the go to the loo, it's hardly our (the male populous) fault. Our wifes/girlfriends/partners would surely be the first to moan of we pee'd on the seat citing "I didn't notice it was down" as an excuse.

Never mind the seat, I get in trouble if I ever leave the lid up! I get in trouble a lot.

Re: Leaving the toilet seat up

Kind of embarrased to admit it but it annoys me when the lid/seat is left up. I was brought up to always put it down and so it annoys me when its not.

Its bad that I get annoyed if the g/f leaves the lid up but she doesnt care if the lid or seat is left up, roles kind of reversed eh?

I've tried many times pointing out the simple logic of Rule No. 1: The Guys' Rules, but my rational arguments always meet with total incomprehension and sometimes outright hostility.

Even my considerate suggestion of "is this a bad time for you, shall we discuss it in a couple of weeks when you're feeling a bit less hormonal?" rarely meets with any appreciation.

I have this issue so damn much.

I mean really, why do they think there is a lid on them anyway?

You don't need a lid on a loo... other than to stand on when you're changing a lightbulb

Re: Leaving the toilet seat up

The lid is there to stop the toliet from doing an aerosol impression and spraying water vapour and germs all over the place when the toilet is flushed.

Indeed does annoy me when people dont wash their hands after especially in the pub etc then you have to open the door which they've just touched with their piss hands. There was a programme on a while ago about flushing with the lid open about fecal particles going on your toothbrush.
