Re: Leaving the toilet seat up

Well in a household where I'm outnumbered by women 5 to 2, us males just leave the seat and lid down so that we get a quiet easy life.

Re: Leaving the toilet seat up

I never understood why this is a problem for other people. In our household, we just adjust the toilet as necessary. The main criteria is that the toilet is left in a clean and hygienic state.

The lid down looks better, it's not a hardship to lift it.
It prevents Salem the cat from climbing down into it and stops She Who Must Be Obeyed from complaining.

I have always wondered about this... the Physics baffles me.

Lid down - or my hairspray / deodorant / makeup ends up in the loo as it's stored on shelves above it and I always knock something off. Otherwise I don't care - I'm outnumbered 4 to 1 at the Boy's house over the weekend so don't get a choice.

I once tried doing a handstand for a bit to ameliorate the morning glory situation... never again as it very nearly ended in tears, oh and you couldn't see where you were aiming anyway

Re: Leaving the toilet seat up

We argue in our house about it, we have 3 males and 3 females, but the wife still always wins
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

Re: Leaving the toilet seat up

This is one of these discussions you can't believe you are having on a public forum.

I prefer the seat down. Then I can sit down. You never know where you might need to change from standing to sitting, so you may as well relax to begin with. Anyway, magazines and books are difficult to read while standing up and aiming.
