Quick and simple question, though no doubt, complex answers and reasons.
Which county do you live in, and which county do you most like visiting, or even aspire to live in one day?
I live in Buckinghamashire, a good place that I love very much.... but i think I prefer Herefordshire to most any other, for the beer, cider, food and countryside.

County not country
I live in Kent and would not really want to live any other county really. Ok it isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination (Medway towns, bleuughh) but when you get out into some of the rural areas it is just gorgeous.
The only other county/area would probably be the Scottish borders.

I technically live in London but my address comes under Essex.
Kind of London/Surrey. I like Surrey, especially the hills but Darzzzet is my favourite county, if only because of great family holidays.

Grampian, probably just stay in Grampian..... unless someone* comes up up with a compelling reason to move.

I've liked Suffolk and Yorkshire (and I can be happy just about anywhere that's not a city) but Herefordshire is home.
Hmmm.... I'm in a Crown DependancyIf I absolutely HAD to live somewhere across the water, it'd be the Lake District or Devon, can't decide which. Probably the Lakes tbh
not actually sure what county southport is in, its had a interesting history.
It was originally part of west-lancashire, then it became its own county borough in 1886. It then formed part of merseyside when that was created in 1974 - alot of people regret that decision. theres been various reviews and decisions since then as to where we should actually be - west lancs, merseyside, own county again, civil parish. theres another review coming soon.
as for my favourite county. i don't have one at the moment, mainly because i haven't been to them all yet. although, further up north is quite nice

Reason i love it here? great for work and play and my family live here.
Have not really experienced living else where in the UK, apart from visiting friends in the sticks in Hampshire which i found to be relaxing, but ultimately boring.
Have lived abroad for a couple of years in Denmark/Sweden which i really enjoyed but was in the country (near the wifes folks) as opposed to main cities, so did not enjoy as much (although the coast there is beautiful). May retire to DK in the future as the quality of life in the later years seems allot more favourable from what i have seen.
