    Firefox users

    Add FastestFox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9825

Even if it is just for the continuous scrolling, basically, say you are reading a thread which has gone on over a few pages, as you get to the bottom of the page, it loads the next page for you, and you just keep scrolling down to view the next page of the thread, handy for forums viewing and google searches etc.

There are also lots of other features which can be turned on/off/tweaked to your desire.

I'm sure some of you will already be using it but for those that aren't... Try it.

    Re: Firefox users

can you load the full "Photo a day" thread into 1 page with that thing? that'd eat quite a bit of memory i'd imagine.

    Re: Firefox users

It doesn't work like that - it just loads the next page in the sequence as you get to the bottom of the one you're reading - you still have to navigate to the page. Works very well though - I'm impressed

    Re: Firefox users

The more i start fiddling, the more features that i find , i've now narrowed the popup bubble down to just google and wiki, so i can highlight text and then use the bubble to search either if needed

    top stuff!

    Re: Firefox users

I've tried FasterFox in the past, and I can't say I noticed any difference. A forum page usually takes so little time to load anyway, the savings seemed to be negligable.

    Re: Firefox users

I tried it and got rid of it within minutes.

It was showing me the next thread in the forum when I got the bottom, very annoying.

Snap, just done the same. Crashed firefox (mac) for me twice, when scrolling to the bottom of Hexus forum front, and AV Forums forum index.

Nice try, I can see how it would be beneficial, but didn't really do it for me.

Firefox already loads an entire page in less than a second for me anyway. I really can't read an entire page faster than Firefox can load it.

    Re: Firefox users

You can do these tweaks in the "about:config" url too, but this is much easier.
