Yes it was. My Grid shortcut has -novirtual on the end.
Just been thinking, it might be worth those that have been LAN before and have had issues with games whether on Vista, XP or Win7, post which game it was and what the solution was?
Could save others time and well, will be good addition to the resource as I will add any information to the original post. Speaking of which, I will add the information about GRID -novirtual to the original post, once I have an explanation of what it does!

Apparently so. I'd tried the same solution before with no success, add Rai to the equation and I'm getting my arse whupped minutes later...What you just poored a bit of Rai on it and it work?

Well if Rai or yourself could be so kind as to post what the solution was, I will update the original post and while I am at it, if I find any solutions for the issues I am having with CoD4 win7 then I will add that also.

I just had a thought - I've got CoD4 to work on my laptop (specs in my sig)... I imagine GTA IV would be a bit of a push, but everything else will probably work, right?
Hmm I dont see why not in regards to the other games working on that system, I would have thought they would/ should.

Will do when I get some spare time, problem is that my girlfriend uses it as her main PC so I'm not going to get much time with it before I go.
Just thinking if there was going to be any major problems with it I'd better sort them out sooner rather than later.
