    Lost a contract phone

My sister has lost her contract phone. It was with 3. She has asked me to find out what she should do but I don't have a copy of the contract. It seems to her that the phone has been stolen, not lost as it just goes straight to answerphone. Any ideas if 3 will replace it?
    Thanks guys.

    * Immediately call 3 Customer Services on 0843 373 3333 from any phone and they will bar all calls. This number is charged at your national rate.
    * Report the loss or theft to the Police and get a crime or loss reference number.

    Re: Lost a contract phone

She should have blocked the phone immediately. That's always the first to do. Whether with a lost (credit) card or with a contract cellphone. There should not be any problems with paying the contract then. Afterwards you can still find out about the contract and what to do with it. They'll tell you so at the hotline anyway, I think. For all those of you who still are shopping on the internet, I do have a great shoe shop as a hint.

    Re: Lost a contract phone

Unless she has phone insurance..she won't get a new phone from 3, not even a penny. Whats worse is that she will also have to continue paying the same contract fee.

3 would be obliged to service the phone free of charge in the first 12 months (at least that long - cant remember if its extended to the contract duration but I think its just 12 months), but they have no obligations with respect to lost/stolen phones.

So if she has insurance, claim on that, otherwise sadly she will need to buy a new phone
