Locking my PC would prevent my BIOS from being accessed would it? I don't think so. It's just safer to stay at home cos I'd punch someone if they did that to my computer.

Matty - if anyone does it again, they'll get a punch from me.

It's up to you at the end of the day, the guys know that they crossed a line, it won't happen again. Not on my watch.

But as has been said in previous posts, that is over board and will NOT be happening again, as if it does, those responsible will be banned from coming to any further events.

There is no point saying you wont do something because of the "what ifs" the same can be said for learning to drive, or infact driving in general.

    What if I crash.
    What if I stall
    What if I get lost
What if I run out of petrol
What if the person next to me has a better car

Atleast make the effort to come to one LAN and judge it then, not before hand.

My idea of fun is not having my BIOS password changed.

    1) That's just being a prat.
    2) It's MY property.
    3) That's just being a prat.
    4) I wouldn't know how to fix it.
    5) That's just being a prat.

But you are missing the point that it wont be happening again.

I feel you are taking this a bit to far and almost personally.

    matty,

It really isn't a big deal mate, you rarely need to enter your bios anyway and it's simple enough to reset if you had to. Although it's irrelevent because i won't happen again!

Come along, it's really good fun and everyone is very friendly and it's a great laugh.

Play the games you love, drink some cheeky beers and chat to all the hexus crew... perfect!

Yeah, I wouldnt DARE touch GateKeepers PC..for one, becauese of the size of him and two...I wouldnt want to feel the wrath of those whom were exploring his PC.

And that coupled with the fact that he is now GREEN just makes it even worse.."Me GateKeeper, me smsash!"

Matty, you can use my spare computer. It's more than capable of playing everything and you wouldn't have to worry about people messing with it.

I left my PC unlocked for less than a minute (that's when the screensaver/password kicks in) before al pounced on it. Luckily I was just going to get food so was back in time. I must admit I've just gone into my BIOS to make sure there wasn't a password on that (since I failed epically to notice the tape on my mouse!), but it's clean. I think someone might have interupted the power supply (e.g. unplugging the wrong plug for the daisy chain) as I think a few poeple have mentioned their computers restarting. I think Azreal was having problems with his homepage being locked and being unable to change it.

rasta - after checking my memory (my brain sucks, i only recall things at random times after a few days) i can safely say no-one touched your machine to turn it off an on again. the only time it was touched was to sellotape mouse.

matty - if you sit next to me, the only times i leave my PC are to have a leg stretch, or go to toilet. i go to sleep after everyones gone to bed, so no one else is in the room, i'll guard your PC as if it was my own. no one will ever go near it.

I'm even more paranoid than you are and i've been twice.
