Did anyone get a picture of or can they remember the error that Sean got while trying to do something with VNC? Because that error, was an error of pure win!

Guys - This isn't cool - unless you own up to it before the end of the LAN - this one can cost a lot of time and effort - Desktops etc are one thing but messing with people's BIOS is another.
It's easy to reset a desktop etc, but not so easy to reset BIOS.

    Someone passworded your Bios?!

Right, I think a quick clarification of exceptable 'pranks' is required.

If your unfortunate/stupid enough to leave your pc unlocked, then expect some form of desktop background change, or coming out of the closest (so to speak) if you've left remember me/it auto signs you into forums. You know harmless stuff, that can easily be reversed, and doesnt cause any real damage, just a bit of ribbing by everyone else.

Screwing around with hardware, or any form of password/security changes just are NOT on.

    Echoing my Vice captain there...

ANYONE caught doing this will be banned from HEXUS/H3XU5 events in the future.

We want to keep these events as a positive experience for everyone. People spend a lot of money on their base boxes and see them as their pride and joy. Please don't disrespect this, you might be savvy enough to know how to get round a BIOS password, but many people don't.

    Re: H3XU5.LAN #6 - 5/6/7 March 2010 - Commentary!

To be fair it wasn't the end of the world... nothing some long nose pliers and the moving of a jumper couldn't fix.

I wondered why my pc had been restarted when I got back to it, figured there was a power cut or something!

I found out at the LAN anyway because it wouldn't boot.. so had to get in to it (because of the dead RAM stick (which worked most of the weekend!))

Own up and I shall take my revenge... muwhahahhaa

I didnt do anything of any naughty proportions all weekend.
I mainly came up with some ideas that were ignored

Rasta, no one up at the time actually touched your PC, so unless it happened after I went to bed, which was nearly 5am when I did go, then I have no clue how it happened. If it were me, id own up in an instance!

But now, I have ideas for next LAN! muahahah!!
