That is way too expensive IMO. I'd rather get a netbook and save lots of money or get a good laptop for that price.
Want! Gimme!
Want, but can't afford/Maybe if it were chaeper.
Holding out for the alternaitives.
No, there's no keyboard, it's just wrong and a crime! eeeew.

Just your average Apple fan at launch... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1_Vvzlpgdg
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
I want one if good music production apps come out for it. Its large intuitive touchscreen makes it so ideal as apps are designed to work around it (rather than just getting a tablet laptop or something and sticking any old programs on it and trying to make it work that way)
I wasn't really too interested but I KNEW stuff like this would instantly come out and get my interest.

After I saw this video, I am now interested
netbook vs ipad.
lets say you want to watch a film. what you going to do with it? prop it up with your Iphone and Ipod. it's another invention for morons.
So the only way anyone would actually use this would be to buy enough extras to enable you to use it as a normal desktop, lol.
Also don't forget it has the same charging limitations as most netbooks:
http://www.macworld.com/article/1503...dcharging.html
So it *can* just about charge on 500ma @ 5V, but basically you need a dodgy, non-standard proprietary USB port, so forget that on planes, unless of course one lugs the brick about.
Again my P series is better, having a smaller brick, which still manages to use figure of 8 (which is just awesome for travelling, our 3 pins are too big really...) [also yes, i'm a total fan boy of the P series, I would date it if I could]
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
But.. will it blend?
Something that links directly to my camera and allows for tethered shooting in this kind of format would be nice!
Not around too often!
So that would be the HP offering then?
Or mabye a P - series, I've used mine for this:
http://www.sony.co.uk/product/vn-p-series
Its very small, and you can do 'interesting' things like using the kensington anti-theft lock as a tether to your tripod when doing longer than 30second exposures and u've forgotton your remote.
Yes i'm a rabid fan boy of these devices of pure perfection.

I like the idea of an iPad as purely a consumption device ie reading news, emails, websites, playing videos and music, and maybe even games although from my own iphone experience the lack of a proper interface is a problem.
As a content creation device, it looks poor.
In those terms, i dont see that a comparison to a netbook is reasonable, despite the potential crossover.
- Another poster, from another forum.I'm commenting on an internet forum. Your facts hold no sway over me.
System as shown, plus: Microsoft Wireless mobile 4000 mouse and Logitech Illuminated keyboard.
Sennheiser RS160 wireless headphones. Creative Gigaworks T40 SII. My wife. My Hexus Trust
Not a chance - its got no purpose imo as its just an oversized iPod Touch that is too big for your pocket.
Fails as a consumption device due to software limitations, the terrible screen resolution (not even HD capable), and lack of a precise input option (ie: no stylus support..forget ink there is not even "dumb" stylus support), and clearly is useless as a creation device.
Writing this post on my tablet PC at the moment..which cost me £650 (marginally more than what the iPad is expected to launch at, and probably cheaper now)..lets me do everything the iPad can do (has a capacitive, multi touch screen) but better - I have a keyboard, x86 cpu, HD etc..yes it's a HP so it will break just after the warranty runs out (ala Apple tho, no?) and yes its twice as thick as the iPad when in tablet mode, but the benefits outweigh those small issues so much.
Oh and I can change the battery on this thing, infact it comes with 2.
