u wot?
You're confusing me.
Care to explain that in a little more detail?
I don't support any system at all.
Best politics I've ever seen was the poll tax riots in Trafalgar Square.
Direct action = results.
Sometimes.
There again, all that really happened was Poll Tax was renamed Council tax.
Sure. Read the first post on the first page.
Not voting is a vote for the Labservatives and everything they stand for. If you don't support anyone, then make the effort to vote for none of them - because not voting isn't the same thing, not voting is lending your support to the winner. By all means, pursue direct action - but if you think not voting is somehow not supporting the ruling party, you're flat-out wrong. Your non-vote was a vote for Labour in 2005, 2001, and 1997. If you and just half of non-voters had voted for a cat, then we'd have a feline government (sadly OMRLP candidate Cat Mandu died in 2002 so wasn't an option on the polls in 2005)
BTW, I suggest looking up the 2005 and 2001 election results in Wyre Forest, for those who doubt the feasibility of a multi-party system.
And perhaps this party will take your fancy for other naysayers: http://registers.electoralcommission...pe=partydetail
Oh, and these guys will fund you running as an Independent MP: http://www.juryteam.org/

I'd be shocked if anyone in my town voted for anyone other than Labour. On practically every lamp post - I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said at least 80% of them - there is a "Vote Scottish Labour" sign. Anyone I have talked to about the election has either said they are voting Labour or not voting at all. Do people who don't want Labour voted in actually think it's better not to vote than to vote for another party? It has been said many times in this thread - if people who didn't vote voted then we would see a massive change.
Though I can't vote yet so my opinion really does mean nothing .
Some real figures:
61% turnout:

Local Elections are even worse (under 20% in some areas):
http://www.ukpolitical.info/by-election-turnout.htm
Ages under 34 less likely to vote:

and..
Low voter turnout could mean shock election win for Apathy Party

Hurrah for the Conservatives; a safe seat in my constituency.
Interesting that the current postal vosting system is set up to discriminate against expats (who are much more likely to vote Conservative). The forms are not sent out until 4 working days before the election, and they even admit on their website that this is probably not enough time to return them. Scum.
this is just gay
