    When things just tie together...

    To set the scene...

I've always wondered why I avoid pineapple chunks for no apparent reason, they're fine if it's mixed with other things, but if i have a choice to go without pineapple i'll go for it.

And chatting to my parents i seem to have just found out the route of it...

When i was a little kiddie wink, the blasted fruit nearly killed me!
I quite often had bouts of choking when eating food, and doctors just said i was eating too fast.

But then i apparently had a major choking session on a piece of pineapple, and my mum had a very hard job of getting me sorted out...

To which they tied a few things together, i choked often (apparently due to eating too fast) but when i ate a cornet or something i actually shoved it in my face... I also had problems speaking...

So they sat down with me and were messing about just trying to get me to stick my tongue out, which i just couldn't do...

So they took me to the doctors to get his opinion, and they told him "we think he's tongue tied", to which he just laughed and said that it's not possible nowadays it would have manifested itself and been picked up much earlier on... But they insisted that he take a look, which he did and came to the conclusion that yes, it was a very bad case and needed referring instantly to be sorted, so within hours i was being knocked out and having my tongue sliced, but before the Op i was complaining about a material attachment (A blue, extremely tatty teddy that went everywhere...) and i was insistent that i wanted it in the OR, to which the nurses said no, so mum promised to look after it and make sure that i woke up with it.

So after i came around, apparently i was playing hell up because i didn't have blue ted that was promised, because my mum had been told to take it back to my room.

Cue the ceremonial oooh-ing and aah-ing, (i was the only child in the place, and happened to be the sort of child that everyone adored [blonde hair, blue eyes etc etc]) and then for some reason strawberry icecream (i'm not entirely sure why i distinctly remember the icecream flavour and not much else from the day :/) to which i got to go home.

Then came the painful eating, obviously i had no idea why it hurt to eat, but pineapple had caused this.

Then because of how long it had been before it was picked up, i seriously needed speech therapy, which was a long old affair, which also ties in with why i still have daily problems with stumbling over words all of the time (afterall you can't just unlearn something...)

So all of that from a chunk of pineapple, but it ties up and fits in with so much of my day to day goings on.

So anyone else have any moments where information suddenly makes other things become crystal clear?

It wasn't really that long ago when me and mum figured out why I hate swimming and really struggle to put my face under water.

I fell in a pond while on holiday in France when I was little. Got water all up my nose and choked a bit.

I think my childhood just consisted of numerous accidents which could have killed me if things had been ever so slightly different :/

    Choking
    Drowning
Squirting blood out of my head
    Ecoli 0157

I can safely say Ecoli 0157 is the worst of the bunch by an extremely long way.

Which i've just figured out is the reason that banana flavour medicine makes me gip just at the smell of it now :/

I have stayed in Can Picafort, is that the beach with virtually no sand, mostly rocks and road, as we just went to Alcudia every day, or the water parks,

Can Picafort, was really crap apart from one bar where the owner used to ride a HUUUUUUGE penny farthing up and down the street and look generally daft

This just made me LOL at 08:25 at work..oh the looks I got xD.

I have a fear of heights. I can only pin it down to when I was younger, me my brother and step brother were walking along this tree that had fallen over a little stream/ river, not a far drop, so walking across and I nearly fell..before that I was fine..now not so.

I can go on roller coaster as long as I concentrate on the track and not too much on the drop.
Tall buildings + windows = dont stand to close to the glass.
Planes - As long as I cant see out of the window then I am generally fine.
