I haven't for years, to be fair. It seemed to completely die out when I got to about 16.

    Exactly.

    Matty, you are 18 right?

    Case and point.

    Re: MSN Abuse

What's your point exactly? I am quite a bit older than Matty, and there are people on my MSN and *shock*, ICQ, who are older than me (hail Trillian/Pidgin). If I was going to make any assumption, it would actually be that the younger generations are less likely to use such an 'old' IM.

Age range in my evening language class is very spread out. Youngest about 18, oldest would be 60+ retirees. Amongst them, those I know who still use MSN are towards the mid/late-twenties. Our youngsters either never used it in the first place, or ditched it early in favour of FB/etc.

Incidentally, I finally caved to FB last year, and I still know some MSN users who are still staying away from it. MSN remains the easiest way to stay in touch (not to mention sending sending files meant to the recipient only that are too big as email attachments).

You are not adding anything to the discussion. Stop posting tbh.

I am 24 and still regularly use MSN, I used it to keep in touch with mates who live miles away, those that live close and other people, including those ive met through hexus.

I think the advice that has been given in the thread is pretty sound, just make sure you dont dont do anything that could come back on you.

    Re: MSN Abuse

You're right... that was pretty closed-minded/arrogant of me. Sorry.

So on topic, as said, police, and just avoid the problem where you can.

    Re: MSN Abuse

I personally don't use it any more, she is an 18 year old girl so yes Michael that was closed minded and arrogant of you! and it's not your standard MSN conversation of which you could have just blocked - once she blocked them, they sent her email after email taking the piss out of her father passing away, and other various nasty things - and even so people younger than me use Hexus and use MSN and i'm sure wouldn't have taken kindly to it - like the saying go's if you don't have anything nice to say (and in this case constructive) please don't say anything at all.
