I did wonder how long you guys spend 'working' per day, as a mod is there a minimum? I'd love the ability to clean some stuff up when i see it (SPAAAAAAM!)

Depends an what else we are doing. There is no set minimum or maximum. When I was working full time I'd go on first thing to catch the overnight spammers, and again in the evening to 'keep an eye on things'

But it is because we aren't full time that we rely on you all to use the "report post" button for anything you don't like so it brings it to our attention - there is usually one of us that can take action. And we really DO appreciate those reports.

It doesn't take long to hide a post or ban a spammer (but that is why adding a comment like 'reported' is deprecated, because that then has to be removed.)

And of course a flame war or sarky comment is deprecated too - the poster might not be a spammer, or another newbie, who seeing a sarky comment at what appears to him to be just another new poster might put him off registering or sticking around. So be kind to the noobs - we were all one once!
