    Re: U.f.o disclosure project

I wasted 5 minutes watching the start, then skipped to the less boring bits. No cross examination, no possible alternative explanations explored - hardly 'compelling evidence'

Which is not the same as saying that they are wrong, of course and I'm sure they genuinely believe what they saw, but whether their interpretation of what they saw is correct is another matter. And a UFO is just that - a flying object that is not identified. It isn't automatically an extra-terrestrial manufactured artefact..

    Re: U.f.o disclosure project

Personally im in the firm belief that flying saucers exist however im not convinced about them being extra terrestrial. There is designs dating back to WWII for flying saucers with the engineers who worked on them being whipped off to the US (project paperclip) and Russia after the war. Im pretty sure AVRO released reports a few years ago about secret projects they where running in the shadows of the daft AVRO car

    Re: U.f.o disclosure project

I think the vast majority of them are simple misidentifications of natural phenomena, a smattering are advanced military hardware and a tiny, tiny minority of them are something less easy to categorise.

I've never seen one but do know (and respect) a couple of people who've seen 'something.' As above though, I'm far from convinced that any of them are really extra-terrestrial in origin but I'm willing to be persuaded should hard evidence emerge to support it. That's really the problem; considering the number of sightings/abductee reports from across the globe you'd think there'd be something tangible on offer by now.

I'm a firm believer in alien life (there has to be more out there) but whether they're visiting here in craft is a whole other matter!

    Re: U.f.o disclosure project

I actually do believe there's other life in the universe, basic math, if the universe is infinite and there's life in the universe, how much life is there? Not convinced it's ever been here though, or been chased by F-16's, nor that any UFO's belong to aliens. If we have the ability to perform covert surveillance and strikes on highly militarised/industrialised nations, a race capable of travelling many hundreds or thousands of times the speed of light(the speed realistically required to reach an inhabited planet before all life died out), certainly does.

That leads me to believe that if they wanted us to know they were there, they'd have no problem doing so, if they wanted us oblivious, we would be. So I put alien sightings down to, natural phenomenon, military testing, Hollywood and attention seeking among other things.

Unidentified aircraft over military bases 30 years ago trying to disable nukes? You'll excuse me if I look at Russia before the depths of the universe. A shiny cigar shaped object moving at high speed through the sky, tends to be a plane in my experience and beams of light are quite simply just lights.

If you lose the alien assumption and rather flowery language. The story becomes a plane... with landing lights!1!one!

Finally ever noticed how alien sightings, radar tracks etc only happen on Earth or very near Earth? Despite huge amounts of the worlds most advanced technology staring at the sky for decades, much of it with the stated goal of finding extraterrestrial life, I've yet to see even a grainy video of an Unidentified Space Faring Object, if I may coin a new acronym. Once again makes me think they all UFO's involve beings from the planet.... Earth.

Well yeah but remember all the expensive equipment is owned by government funded organisations which could censor any images which are released. There has been a few releases of images/videos which are a bit suspicious but there is always some odd explanation that is difficult to disprove.

There have been some unusual looking experimental aircraft built by the US. An example is the Northrop Tacit Blue:

Yeah I expect experimental aircraft account for quite a few, remember stuff like the B-2 and F-117 are 70's and 80's era tech. I bet whatever they're playing with now, looks highly funky.

    Is that a serious post?
