    Mobile Phones, where from?

Right, so i've now just broken my third 3210 and want a new phone which is actually decent.

I've seen loads but not sure what to get, I definitely want a nokia since i've had a go on many other models and only ever liked the nokia models.

    http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,4508,00.html

    That one looked interesting.

Also, where should i get one, are there any good websites?

you could always try the same question here
www.whatmobile.net, they tend to know their stuff big style on phones and there are quite a few people selling good value phones there.

Well if your getting pay as you go and not contract then i'd say ebay, but make sure its a good seller and in good condition, i've personally bought a few pay as you go phones on their for much cheaper than website/shop prices and they were in excellent condition. Just make sure the price doesn't go above what its worth .

My sister works at Tesco and she said they had some quite good offers on mobile phones, could try them. Think their website has them, best thing to do is just shop around and find where the cheapest one is.

Nokia 6100 for 105 quid is quite a good deal

Fairly easy to unlock Nokias though. Scancom usually have some cheap lower-end Nokias available (with no contract or PAYG SIM). Just had a look and it's not amazing at the moment but you can get a new 3410 for ~£50:

    http://www.scancom.co.uk/customer/home.php?cat=326

Or a 3510i or 6210 for ~£60. All of which are locked to T-mobile but are fairly easily unlocked (in fact I'm 99% confident I could give you an unlock code for any of them). Basically you need to get the IMEI number of the phone (usually underneath the battery) and then I can generate a code for you which you need to enter into the phone to unlock it.

Unfortunately not - I've only got access to Nokia unlocking at the moment (but that currently covers DCT3 and DCT4 types 2, 5 and 7). Doing some testing at the moment hence why I have free access to the unlock codes but am only 99% certain I can give out good / working codes.

I thought that these days all contract phones were unlocked but all PAYG phones were still locked. I was assuming you were on PAYG as otherwise wouldn't you just ask your contract provider for a new handset?

I'm on pay as you go but when we buy phones whether it is contract or pay as you go you will receive the same phone. *shrugs* I'll be on Pay as you go but i'm going to move to the UK in september so i need something that'll work over there as well and any phone over here will work over there as long as you put an english sim card in it.
