Stop moaning about the X Factor... please!

Hmmm... Like I could really give a monkey's if Cheryl refused to vote, her pointless, vacuous protest sealing the fate of a better singer...

The X Factor always was and always will be a nothing more than a cash-generator for the already super-rich to get even richer off the back of the desperate and bewildered.

I've not seen 2 minutes of this year's sausage machine churn out mould-fitting manufactured drivel and I won't be watching the super final where the Christmas number one will be by whoever Simon thinks the public will love for a few weeks.

The judges are all working to Cowells agenda, the show and the whole series is formulaic to the extreme. It's all looking a bit old, used and well run through... a bit like Cheryl, the talentless lip-synching Geordie clothes horse.

But beyond the obvious fix that is X Factor, its the moaning from everyone about the decisions being made... OMG, Wagner is still in!!! Why did Treyc get voted off??!!! Where's Gamu?? (wtf IS a 'Gamu' anyway??)

All of this pent up anger, despair and exasperation clouds the fact that Cowell doesn't even need one of these wanna-be-pop-meat-puppets to have a hit single, his ripped off the nation at £1 a call for you to vote... he's already made a mint twice over, the soulless automaton that wins is just pin money to him.

    An excellent rant.
My own robust approach to the X Factor is not to watch it and generally pretend that it's not happening. Works for me.

    Not a fan then?

I'm not either - my simple solution; avoid like the plague and mercilessly mock those who care about it.

Re: Stop moaning about the X Factor... please!

    An excellent rant Nick, thanks.
Couldn't put it better myself, apart from adding a few expletives that would be taken out by the swear filter

Who was it said that it's impossible to underestimate the general public?
goes right back to the ancient Romans and their obsession with Bread and Circuses I guess.

At least it gives me a couple of hours to myself every weekend while the OH watches it.

Re: Stop moaning about the X Factor... please!

    X What ?

I can safely say I've not seen any of this diatribe on TV for the last 3 years. Why would I? I don't give a rats ass about their sob stories they try to use to make the public vote.

Same with the dancing shows. As soon as the missus or other ladies in the house decide to flick the TV over to a crappy show like this I leg it out of the room, either to go playing on the PC, xbox 360 or down the garden having a quick cig or three

Re: Stop moaning about the X Factor... please!

Well the real question is who will the internet decide is going to take the #1 slot this year?

Rage was a good choice, but I think something even better this year..maybe some System of a Down would get people going, or to really annoy the general public, something harder like Lamb of God eh =)

I agree its a stupid program thats put out to make a few people rich, and to entertain the masses..best way to protest against it (and the hordes of similar shows) is to a) not watch it, and b) make certain that the "winners" don't get given the #1 slot!

The first i saw of it was when we were sat in the pub at the weekend...

None of us were overly enamoured by it... It was amusing to watch just how poor it was though

The original Fb group from last year has sold out and are trying to get a friends band into number one which makes them jsut as bad tbh.

I think Surfin Bird should be number one..

    What's X-Factor?

Is that the exhausting-looking game show where contestants have to compete in rounds with names like Personality, Mental Agility, and Physical Ability?

    Cheryl isn't even good looking.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."

If you're on facebook, the best way to deal with it isn't to post stuff saying about how you hate it, but just to post something taking the 'piddle' out of it.

"OMG I can't believe Dave2Dave got voted off - cowall is such a loooser lol"
"Booo at Fartbacon, they can totally so not sing. Get em off the telly"
