I turned off instant search instantly. Rubbish idea tbh, just uses up more bandwidth.

It's been on for a while now > 2 weeks.

Can disable it, but sometimes it is quite cool. I quite like it how small little google search updates come out with any big announcement. It must take some infrastructure to search on the fly from a pc on the internet. But then again Google have money to burn

It only changed my search settings a few days ago. But its turned off now

yea i only found that out too. and there was a like a quick preview function as well when you click on the magnify glass.
