soap is bad for your face DONT use soap, it dries your face out completely, it's too harsh.

I've never tried toothpaste... *tries the next time there's a plook hanging around*

Witch hazel is a nice natural, herbal remedy, you can buy a whole range of witch hazel products in boots or normal chemists. Works wonders on all sorts of things. Spots, grases, cuts, sposed to be specially good on cartilage piercings!

if you dry your skin out, it produces extra oil to accomodate, therefore making it more oily than it needs to be. Soap is bad for your facial skin. It's fine for anywhere else you like, but not your face.

Also you should exfoliate every so often to get rid of dead skin cells (which cause blockages and blackheads *pukes*)

Unlucky mate. They worked for me, so I guess its one man's meat is another man's punches in the neck.

@ Vaul: I just found out the name of the anti-biotics i was on for two years, they were Erythmorycin, they used to work fine then i became immune to them. My doctor then told me that i should still have some luck with Oxytetracilline but im still getting spots (dont get me wrong, im not like pizza face etc, i just seem to get spots around where i get stubble) So id just go easy with them, ask your doctor about becoming immune to them, and how long to take them for. As one of my friends takes them for 6 months, then stops for 3 month, then starts again!

Hopefully that helps a little (dont want ANYONE to become immune to anti-biotics, i got an infection a few months back and it was a nightmare)

Aye, i was just trying to give Vaul a little poke in the direction of asking his doctor for advice I am by no means an expert on the medicine i was taking and dont stop taking tablets because of what i said, it was on personal experience and every person is different

For the major spots, i use that Oxy stuff. Its in a little white bottle and it stings like hell if you let it touch your un-infected skin! Im going to to try the toothpase thing tonight, wish me luck eh

I tend to find that shaving with a sharp razor will reduce the chances of ya getting spots in the first place...

Whenever i keep myself clean shaven i dont get as many spots, but if i leave my face two or three days they come back really bad. Actually, im gonna test this out! Ive got toothpaste on my face at the moment on one spot on my nose, and some oxy burning stuff on a little one on my chin... lets see which one works best

I feel a bit silly with toothpaste on my face by the way

Well, I've only been on them for a short while, Doctor's orders. My course is 4 a day, for a month, then we'll see where we stand. I'll check in with the GP again once that course is up.

I had more problems with the Benzoyl Peroxide gel, to be honest. Abit red and flaky at the moment, although I'm told this passes.

Still, they do work (for me), and that's the main thing.

Oh, by the way, I've also heard that if you stand on one leg, wearing a top hat fashioned from purest carrot, with a jaffa cake in your left ear, and shout 'Umbongo, Umbongo, they drink it in the People's Democratic Republic of Congo!' 13 times, whilst writing an irate letter to someone else's local MP, in braile, in Stoat's blood, on a Wednesday, facing Mecca, on a full moon that your spots will disappear by morning.

I read it in the Daily Mirror.

A pic of Deckard's Randolph Scott?

Perhaps a short mpeg of it bursting and spraying everywhere would be more impressive.

I'd pay good money to see that.
