I have a zipped compartment on my wallet for change. Couldn't survive without it.
How about getting a little man purse for your change?

Thinking the ones like they have in robin hood where yo tie it to your belt so it can be lifted by brigands. I suppose they didn't use plastic in those days.

I am probably going sound stereotypical but if you have a wallet with no zip/pocket/small pouch clearly state you must carry only notes and card which might equal to having lot of money?? Thats what springs to my mind when i see people with wallet with no zip/small pouch to carry coins in the wallet.
I carry all my coins in my pocket or wallet but i do empty it whenever i get home so it doesn't look like a fat wallet with coins.
Take up cycling for the New Year (or just say you have) and it makes it acceptable for you to carry a bum bag. You can get notes and coins in it. And a pen. And keys. And your new wallet. All safe in your zipped money belt which is what they used to do in ye olden days .
Pocket. Most of my notes go in my pocket too if I'm honest. I have a wallet, but it's only for carrying cards in tbh, and I made it out of gaffa tape, using the handy guide someone posted on here

If I'm on my own I use a purse to carry my loose change, which then fits into my wallet and then my wallet fits into my man bag.. If not, then my butler carries it.

My mum got me a coin jar for christmas which has a little counter on it so you always know how much is in there. It should come in handy although it does mean i have to transfer the 4/5ths full money jar i have back at my place into it one coin at a time :s
Edit: I see someone already posted about one of these!
Usually i keep coins split between the little pocket (or as i know it, 'the money pocket') and my wallet. Was always told its good to keep some money separate incase you lose your wallet.
When i get home i tend to put anything less than £1 in the money jar although there is a few £1s and £2s in there i reckon.
One problem with my wallet, whilst it does have a little zip thingy, the leather flap beneith it flops down letting all my money slide out... should get a new one really
wallet
as soon as i get home anything smaller than 10p goes in the jar or if its more than few quid about half of it goes in the jar. I hate having any form of cash on me ever, that includes coins
This is the one I have:
