    Royal Mail :(

ALL day I was looking forward to getting home from work and finding my photo's that I had ordered on the doormat.... (I'm a bit sad like that!!! )
I had an e-mail yesterday saying that they had been posted FIRST CLASS, RECORDED DELIVERY. They even gave me the Tracking number.

Got home to find a letter asking if I wanted a loan... no photo's.... me sad

So... as I had the Tracker number, I thought I'd check!
Royal Mail website said that my parcel was delivered before 1pm today!!! WHERE TO I ask??!!!!!!!

MAYBE....just maybe, they left them with my neighbour.... but still... I'm rather disappointed. They should have left a card to say so I would have thought.. especially as it was "recorded delivery".
Even if they had taken it back to the sorting office, left a card to say so, then I could have gone and picked them up.

But there's nothing..... Royal Mail eh?

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

Last couple of weeks sent out two RMSD guaranteed next day before 12. One took four days, the other took three. I've been trying to get my cash back on postage ever since but they don't want to know. Tracker never seems to get updated until after the bloody things been delivered.

The postman should leave a card through your door if it was left with someone else to say where it was left. Although Barry seems to think that they're not supposed to do that if it's recorded delivery, but he's not 100% sure.

Had the postman knock on the door this morning, asking me how many parcels i had signed for yesterday. One i says (some fans from OcUK), although i'm expecting another (some AS5 from Kustom)...he grunts and goes on his way. Worried, i check the track and trace number for my parcel from Kustom and find that it was indeed delivered and signed for yesterday, but not by me or anyone in this house. Rang the local sorting office to have a moan, after spouting a pile of balls they said they would be in touch after talking to the postie, and hung up...without even taking down my phone number . So, i have all the parts i need my wifes PC here (apart from a new HDD!) and i ain't got no thermal compound so i can start putting it together...w*****s...

Hmm seems like Royal Mail have been going down hill on recent months . It was on the news the other night about delivery problems in London.

Although the postal service here is losing lots of money it still seems to worrk quite well .

I think I remember receiving an official letter from explaining why their service has turned poo over the last 6 months. Suppsedly, they had a company merge, or something, and everything would be sorted out soon.

    Yeah.
    Right.

I receive my post usually after 1pm every day... What IS that?

Back in the day, not so long ago - few years, perhaps.. you could look forward to reading your post whilst eating your breakfast. Not anymore, though, of course. How are people expected to sign for a parcel/recorded delivery if they're AT WORK? Course you can pick it up the day after it was delivered, but that's not the point, and it's far more effort than it should be.

    Really has gone ridiculous.

Yup was on the news today that RM have made £220 m profit this year , but failed to meet any of their delivery targets!!

Which tbh doesn't suprise me as recently it has taken upto 4 days for things I have sent first class to arrive...

The post is getting later and later also, we used to get the post at around 7 7:30 and a second post around 12/1 now since they stopped the second post the post arrives around 12/1!!

They are also hopeless at using cards if you aren't in when they try to deliver a parcel, several times i have checked the tracking number and says they have tried to deliver but have not put a card through the door! Assuming of course that they tried to deliver to the correct address in the first place.

Bothe Royal Mail and Parcelforce have actually just dumped parcels (including RD) on our doorstep. We're lucky someone didn't just walk off with them. And I agree on the delivery times thing; what's the point of making deliveries to a domestic address during business hours? Assclowns.
