Im trying to get through this year without taking anything - and now im a sniffly grumpy, snappy person
If I can last another week or so - I 'should' be OK, otherwise over to the tablets I go....
Not nice - and living in a modern house that stays hot combined with coughing, sneezing and spluttering is not an enjoyable experience!

Lol - just as I left uni, one of my mates recommended an alternative treatment.

He's a funny little Swedish guy and said:"you know what... out some toothpaste in ure nose.... why?...your nose is itching now so you have to scratch it... the toothpate will burn your nose and doo the itching for you!" (these are more or less the exact words he used)

Just before that, he saw me rubbing my eyes, and recommended that i use good ol' tiger balm!

Not sure about you guys, but i thin ill stick to tabs for now, but if anyone does tries those remedies out, please tell us how effective they are

I remember on excercise once in the army cadets.. I'd forgotten to take any hayfever stuff... and we were camping under some straw bales in a field full of long grass... my head swelled up so much I had to be evacuated from the excercise area and taken to casualty.. I couldn't open my eyes and I could hardly breathe cos my throat was so swollen.. not a nice experience at all... yet I love summer as the best season of the year... I must be mad....

I thought i'd resurrect and old thread.

My hay fever this year is particularly bad. For the last few years i've taken Clarityn tablets and these have been great until this year. Now they seem to have no effect. Perhaps my body has become too accustomed to them?

I've just started to use Flixonase nasal spray over the last couple of days and this seems to be working so far. Two squirts up each nostril in the morning seems to do the trick.

I was wondering if others have changed their hay fever medication due to it being no longer effective?

I get Incredibly bad hay-fever, every morning I wake up with an annoyingly blocked nose, messed up eyes - the works!

    I take Lotradine!

I had it worse last year, and the year before... but I've had it this year for the longest time I remember. So annoying!

The tablets don't seem to help much either.

I'm taking the same stuff hello_basil.

This is really pissing me off...

Wake up, and can't open eyes without stinging.
    Sneezing like crazy.
    Eyes really hurt throughout day.
Then, get about two nosebleeds a day because of this ****.

Tablets do owt for me, even tried taking more than prescribed but still nothing.

Argh, I'm getting really annoyed with this crap.
