I'm single now so can spend as much time in a darkened room posting messages on tech forums and idling on IRC as I like.

Nah, me and my bloke met on another forum anyway so were both as bad as each other. And were doing the long distance thing, so when were on the internet were *with* each other.
Its hard to explain forums to non internet people though, ive given up and just go 'a friend said...' if I want to tell them about something thats happened on a forum. Easy life

My Girlfriend has seen me reading and typing on hexus and thinks its a sort of delayed chatroom type thingy (her words) but seeing as she's a blonde she just stares at the lights inside my PC going "oooh whats that one for.... etc etc"
