Been shocked off the mains a fair few times now (5 iirc) just tends to leave me with an achey arm and make me slightly more thankful for fuses
Ive had a few shocks from the HV side of ccfl inverters (1.8kv), which is fun... left me with little burn holes
Maybe I'm just lucky (Or very careful. ), but I've never been shocked by anything more than a capacitor from the flash of a disposable camera. And I plan to keep it that way.

I think the worse is when your hand is in a case and a finger wanders into a fan. It doesnt really hurt (unless a big mainframe one) but the noise scares the poo out of you
