Sounds like a widespread, coordinated attack. Not good.

    Re: Attacks in Paris

Hollande just declared state of emergency for the entire country.

Apparently it's possible gunmen are on the run.

Sky News reporting 40 dead - never sure of it's accuracy though. I'd much prefer it was wrong on this occasion.

    Re: Attacks in Paris

Terrible news! quite close to home.

I wonder what happens on closing borders, does this stop all air, land & sea travel in/out?

This gives you the scale of explosion during a Football match

    Re: Attacks in Paris

Heard about this on the news this morning, 120 dead, and likely to be more, including the terrorists.

It's probably a statement of the blindingly obvious, but this will have repercussions implications for the UK as well as the rest of Europe.

It appears the borders are open, but there is heightened security at the border control points, although as France is part of the Shenigen agreement, there are no border control posts between borders of France and Belgium and France and Germany.

I can't imagine what it must be like in Paris this morning.

Religion for sure, but not all religions are as disturbing as Islam. In it's core non Muslims are second class citizens. The more our mainstream governments push the "Islam is tolerant" message, the more they will push voters to the extremes of politics.

Liberalism is destroying Europe, the more people tolerate, the intolerant religion that is Islam, the more we sign our own death warrant. Germany are letting in over 800,000 Muslims a year, how many of those will want to harm innocents, and carry out an attack?

I live in Barcelona (Cornellá de Llobregat), and witnessed a failed Daesh attack 9 days ago, It didn't even make the news in Spain. Just the local news papers, and websites published some sanitized stories with half truths to keep the people from reacting angrily.
