Re: What did you just buy?

A couple of Noctua fans to quieten things down. Not sure if they're both going to stay though - the 140mm fan extracting air behind the CPU HSF is a bit noisy due to the restricted airflow rather than the fan itself and I don't think my other half would appreciate me chopping a hole in the rear of her case and replacing it with a grill.

    Which brand of blade?
If you're a regular user, Tuffsaw blades come very highly recommended!

Bought a TP-Link TL-SG1024 24 port switch from Currys/PC World of all places as I had a few discounts and it was same price as Amazon.

Its a Silverline blade, 9tpi, only a few quid. It now goes thru 40mm thick solid oak like its butter .

Tuffsaw blades are probably a bit overkill or may not be available for that size saw, I did see screwfix selling "Starrett" branded blades for smaller bandsaws - Starrett are a really good brand.

Re: What did you just buy?

couple of books: Space Wolves, triumph of the dwarves and Beren and Luthien

then got a lottery ticket, didn't win

decided to get some semi-decent walking about shoes for once. been using £5 George from asda trainers for the past 20 years. giot a bulk lot and slowly been wearing them out.
so ended up with the Merrell Ridgepass Bolt Mid Walking Boot https://www.millets.co.uk/footwear/0...king-boot.html
they've very snug and cosy feeling on my feetsies. probably a bit overkill for walking to town and back on pavements that get a lil bit slippy when icy, but hey its a late Christmas/birthday present from me mum

then got some spaghetti from lidl. 30p for 500g. bought 3kg of it.

Just ordered two 128GB Sandisk SD cards (£22ea from CEX), one each for me and my wife for our trip to Japan in April. Can't wait to take all the photos!! and maybe some video, but mostly pictures.

OMG, I feel like I just bought half the internet...
A months' wages worth of wood, two thermometers, ten pairs of trouser blousers, a tubular heater, 4-stack extension lead, a timer socket, machine wax, webrax pads, and a funny t-shirt for my mechanic...

You'd think it was Christmas with all this shopping!!

Despicable Me 3 and Bladerunner 2049 on UHD. They were in the sale... Still haven't arrived though.

Re: What did you just buy?

Productive day-off from work today (car is getting serviced and a MOT). Bought a new Euro lock for the front door as the current one needed some force and sounded like I was sawing it! For £20 and 5 min job, probably should have done it sooner.

Also bought a new shower mixer bar as I thought it would be easier to replace the whole unit, but it doesn't quite have standard fixings. I did managed to free the flow regulator in the old one in the end and just swapped it out. Not the most cost-effective way of fixing it, but it worked and I have a spare thermostatic valve now as well, so it isn't too bad.

Oh, and I noticed a new Fish 'n' Chip shop down the road, so going to get lunch from there later today!

Not just, but most recent purchase was a new PC from Scan, been years since I had an upgrade and as buying a house is off the cards for a little bit, I decided to treat myself

This one with a few changes

Had it for about a month - no pictures as yet as I still need to get my desk sorted, but its bloody awesome

Re: What did you just buy?

Well, in the last week I've dropped .. too much money! New bike and accessories through the cycle 2 work scheme, plus a new laptop for my imminent birthday. And now I'm going to wibble impatiently in a corner somewhere waiting for it all to turn up
