It was the Zoom Day sale, 23rd Feb, one day only.

My folks recently went to Aus, so I got them to bring me back Interstellar and Bladerunner (Original) on UHD. AU$20 each, so just over £11. Haven't broached paying for them yet, so not sure if it counts as buying...

I did get Fifth Element and Leon: The Professional from WowHD for £16.58 each, but these haven't arrived yet. I think I need to take a rest from UHD buying for a while.

A cordless sabre saw to assist in ripping my decking up. Ok, the boards are rotten and once I've got them up they could be easily snapped, but this looks more fun https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00E5YREZ6
As my drill/driver came with 2 batteries I went with this one.

Re: What did you just buy?

I just bought a Lenovo Thinkpad T480s, which is lovely. Keyboard is miles ahead of the Macbook Pro I have been using for the past 4 years.

Today, a new companion for the laptop, a Logitech Ergo, arrived... not yet played with this but it feels pretty great.

Re: What did you just buy?

is it weird that last week I bought another 4 kg of spaghetti ?

I use spaghetti as a general word for the little tube type, shell type and the twirly stuff, its not all the long thin stuff.

also went to Scan, got caught up in a few roadworks and bought a AMD Ryzen 5 2400G, Gigabyte AMD AM4 Ryzen AX370M Gaming 3 Micro ATX Motherboard the be quiet System Power 9 400 Watt and 8GB 3000 ram,
and you know what? the chip worked straight out the box, no BIOS update needed atall, and it was still on the F1 first release.

mate had to go back to scan again on the Tuesday because the ram was faulty, swapped over the counter after a quick test. much quicker than posting and waiting for RMA stickers and the postie to collect/deliver things.

Well, stop it! We have a generic word for those things - pasta. Buying it in 4kg loads isn't that weird. Calling it all "spaghetti" is.

New laptop is being delivered today apparently. I might be a little excited

4 kg of dried pasta isn't a weird thing to buy at all.
I bought 10 kg of rice not so long ago, it's economical to bulk buy dry goods that keep.

A KM switch, so I can switch between my main rig and my NUC - I don't see the point of firing up the gaming rig if I'm just surfing YouTube and forums, but I don't need the clutter of a second mouse and keyboard on my desk.

More recently though.... gammon, egg and chips.

I got a Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Shift Adapter for under £30 from Amazon Warehouse even though it didn't have the 20% off.
